I didn't experience much, as in classes I was relegated to the back, and in the accommodation I was mainly with people who preferreed to speak english.

Course recommendations
Again, the coursebook said they offered Catalan, I went to the timetabled class, and they didn't. And I wish I could have done an introductory science course.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I'd feel more independent. Although there was a 24 hour security man, I didn't feel very safe. There was only 1 lockable door between me and the street - the door to my room! Also, the cooking facilities were very very basic, no oven, only a few kitchens had microwaves, no fridges, and many kitchens not even having a working hob.
