Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Because the rents of apartments in Montreal are little dear(expensive) with regard to France. Many student friend was in apartment, apartments are big, numerous and very well placed.
Personal comments:
The chamber in the place of residence of Uqam, was very small, less than 15 metres square nevertheless it was very nice because she allowed me to meet studying foreigners from the first evening but it is true that when we begin in connaitre Montreal, we préfererait to live in city.

Overall
Language of instruction: French
Was learning French a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my French
How much did you improve your French?
My level before: At ease in most situations
My level after: At ease in most situations
Personal comments:
As people from Quebec ar speaking French with a different accent than people from Europe, it took me some time to adapt to their way of speaking. However, professors and teacher at the university are speakingan excellent French. SOme are speaking with a little accent, but not really that strong that you can't understand them.

To eat in a correct way the good food is rather dear in Canada, on the other hand the coC of the night life as well as that of apartment is less important. The journeys cost more expensive because we travel much more than in France.
Food, Travel: was more expensive than at home.
Overall: was the same price as at home.

FINAL COMMENTS

I really admire my experience! Montreal is a city to live! I discovered a completely different culture! I propose to everyone to study abroad for a while in order to be "really" aware of what is goig on outside their country of residence
