The town doesn´t make a great first impression, but make an effort to get to know it properly. I gave up too soon! The uiversity is really great, very modern, well laid-out, right in the city-centre. The staff here are are a bit more involved with their students than in other German universities. Read Review

HOUSING
Personal assessment
Cost
KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I found living in a private flat gave me more impetus to mix with rela live Germans and get to know what life is really life in Germany, rather than the rather shallow typical Erasmus/exchange student exxperience.
Personal comments:
none

Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Activities: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment
Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment
Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment
Personal comments:
He Wilhelmshöhe area is lovely, so are many of the sourrouding suburbs and villages. Don´t be put off by the inner city. Make use of the Semester ticket (unlimited travel within North Hesse for a once-off price). The museams and theatres are quite good.

A bit annoying.
Didn't like it.
Exams throughout the course

Personal comments:
Do more courses than you have to. There are many courses you would´t have a chance to do at home. It´s worth checking out other departments too.
