Description:
Pompeu Fabra University is Catalonia's fourth publicly funded university. It is a young university, yet it already has its own little slice of history: it was founded in 1990 with 316 students taking two degree courses, and today it has 7,000 students, twelve degree courses and an expanding campus in the heart of the city, stretching between the Rambla and the district of Poblenou.

I travel alot more here in Europe than at home because I am busier at home in school. also, the phone was much more expensive here because my mother pays for it in the states. I spend less on food here because it is cheaper and I live in SF in the states which has outrageously high living costs including things like rent. Travel, Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Nightlife, Overall: was the same price as at home. Food, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Use discount fliers when going out and don´t drink too much when you go out. Get a bottle of cava which can be as cheap as 2 € if you want to do a littkle pre going out socializing. Sometimes sitting at a cafe can be just as fun as going out and alot cheaper. Travelling is expensive but overall I find no real surprises. Shopping is also a big bank account killer. Well, the occasions to party in Barcelona are numerous, and you can't refuse ! It's the perfect way to meet people, talk and improve your language skills. I had no telephone in my appartment, so I had to call from a telephone booth which is rather expensive. Since I was leaving with my parents before going to BCN, and that my parents paid my rent for my BCN appartment, the question was not easy to answer. Nightlife, Overall, Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Food, Travel, Housing: was the same price as at home.

Telephone: You need some mobile to communicate with your friends there. And to phone in your country with your family its also expensive. Accommodation: In Munich there are the highest rents in Germany, so in Barcelona its cheaper. Overall, Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Food, Travel, Nightlife: was the same price as at home. Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Barcelona is the more expensive town in Spain. So all the costs are over the mean level from Spain. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

I spend more money abroad than at home because you are travelling a lot which costs a lot of money. The rents in Barcelona are a lot higher than in a suburb in Germany where I live. You have to spend more money in having a telephone contract because if you are staying less than 2 years you have to pay more. Food, Travel, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Nightlife: was the same price as at home.

I spent a lot trying to keep in touch with friends and family. otherwise the cost of living in spain is drastically less. Perhaps the only thing that was more expensive is the food and drink sector, ie when out for dinner or out for drinks it can add up perhaps a lot more in spain than in the uk, especially as primarily in the UK we would frequent student bars. i havent found any here! Nightlife, Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Travel: was the same price as at home. Food, Overall, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
