When I came to Spain, I was a little bit afraid of speaking Spanish because I hadn't speak it a long time and so I was not used to it. In Barcelona there are many exchange students, so there is an intercultural flair, you can improve your German, English, French, Spanish and a lot more. I had an improvement of my English and Spanish skills and I also had a language tandem where I explained the German grammar to spanish students.

I spend more money abroad than at home because you are travelling a lot which costs a lot of money. The rents in Barcelona are a lot higher than in a suburb in Germany where I live. You have to spend more money in having a telephone contract because if you are staying less than 2 years you have to pay more.

The university is very small but effective. In contrary to my german university the classes are very small like in our school system and you can talk with your teacher during the lessons. I had a great time and I gained a lot of experiences in economics.

I went surfing in Montgat and I climbed up the mountain of Montserrat. I had the best view in my life! I can also make a recommendation about visiting all the places which were build from Gaudí.
