Not that I have anything to compare it to, but this program was great. The director (Armando) is very accomodating, and sensitive to individual needs.

Final comments
I knew before leaving that I had enough friends from the States in the States. I made the extra effort to make Spanish friends on my own, rather than just hanging out with all the other American students. For me, this is what really made my experience unique. I made some of the closest friends I have ever had. We still keep in touch and visit eachother often. Just make sure you know what you want to get out of the program before going in to it. The posibilities are endless.

Personal comments
The best is to walk aroung the barrio at night before heading to the port for some dancing. My favorite cafes were Havanah and Ruta de Cafe. Best Tapas can be found at Cisne. Best Bocadillos are at Pan & Co.

Housing
Type of housing: With a family
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: With a family
Why?
I would never have had as amazing of an experience abroad without my host family. Through them I not only learned the local culture and language, but made friends, and really felt like I had a home away from home.

Personal comments
All of the in-house accomodations are hand picked by Armando. This is the best way to really get a feel for the culture and language, and really taught me a lot.
