Language of instruction: Spanish
Was learning Spanish a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't.
Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
My language and communication experience in Alicante is okay, although I would like to interact more with host students, in order to improve and practice my language & communication skills. There isn't much interaction between host students and international students, which is a shame.

Academic
Course recommendations
The choices of courses are good, however I feel strongly that there should be more interaction between students and teachers. Also doing more projects for some aubjects would be good as it gives students a better understanding of the subject as well as applying the strategies and content.

Personal recommendation
The University of Alicante has a lovely setting as a campus, however computer facilities could be improved. I had no trouble really getting registered but make sure to have patients in the first few weeks as you need to sort out your subjects yourself really. Be aware that in Spain everything mostly takes time, so don't expect things straight away.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Personal comments
I am very happy living in my 2 bedroom apartment which I am sharing with another student who is also an English speaker. The apartment is very spacious and makes living here very comfortable. The are in where I live is just 5 minutes walk from the main centre and about 10/15 minutes walking distance from the main bus and train station. University is slightly outside Alicante but the bus takes you straight to the door and takes a good 20 minutes each way.
