Universitat d'Alacant review by Benjamin
HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Great advantage to be living with Spanish students. Landlord very friendly and approachable, very cheap rent.
Personal comments:
For students that prefer to be up around University / a quieter area of living choose St. Vicente. Those who require more of a party life and dont mind travelling to Uni each day, find one of the many flats available to rent in Alicante itself. EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Government assistance Other sources of funding:
Family Personal savings An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
Food is much more expensive than in England, although you can eat great spanish food out for very reasonable proces. The Erasmus life lends itself to spending a fair amount on nightlefe etc... Food, Travel, Overall: was more expensive than at home. Nightlife, Telephone: was the same price as at home. Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Costly to take money out from home Banks, worth the effort to set up a spanish bank account. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
