Description:
The University of Antwerp is unique in its form. It consists of three university institutions, the uniqueness arising from the fact that two of its three 'arms' have an entirely different history and background: the Universitair Centrum Antwerpen (RUCA) is state owned, whereas UFSIA (Universitaire Faculteiten Sint-Ignatius te Antwerpen) is a private university, founded by the Jesuit fathers. The third arm is the pluralistic Universitaire Instelling Antwerpen (UIA). Both UFSIA and RUCA were originally founded in 1852 and acquired university status in 1965.

Universiteit Antwerpen review by Marta
HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: A room exchange
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: A room exchange
Why? To have a room of your own gives you the opportunity both to have peace needed to study and to party by going out.
Personal comments:
Fairly well organised- through Kotweb, no problems finding a private room due to big supply on the housing market in Antwerp. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
