Description:
The University of Antwerp is unique in its form. It consists of three university institutions, the uniqueness arising from the fact that two of its three 'arms' have an entirely different history and background: the Universitair Centrum Antwerpen (RUCA) is state owned, whereas UFSIA (Universitaire Faculteiten Sint-Ignatius te Antwerpen) is a private university, founded by the Jesuit fathers. The third arm is the pluralistic Universitaire Instelling Antwerpen (UIA). Both UFSIA and RUCA were originally founded in 1852 and acquired university status in 1965.

Why? To have a room of your own gives you the opportunity both to have peace needed to study and to party by going out.
Personal comments:
Fairly well organised- through Kotweb, no problems finding a private room due to big supply on the housing market in Antwerp.

Belgium is a unique country where you can speak several languages a day. Most people speak very good English but it's worth learning Dutch as well.

Belgium is much more expensive than Poland in general with a few exceptions. I didn't spend anything on phones as I used Skype.
Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall: was more expensive than at home.
Housing: was the same price as at home.
Telephone: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
It's worth doing shopping in price discounters such as Lidl or Aldi in order to save money.
