The most popular cafes for international students are "Odessa" on Mondays and "Einstein" on Wednesdays. However, it's better to try pubs where Dutch students usually meet and party. Olivier is by far the best place in the city. It's a Belgian beer café, with a very chilled environment. It's easy to find international students as well as locals, business people and all kind of different people. Einstein's is the student bar per si, this is where ISN (International student association) arranges all it's parties and events. It's the best place to meet people in the first days in the city. Lemmy's is another good place to go. They also serve Belgian beer, only at better prices than Olivier. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

The nightlife in Leiden is exciting during the week because Erasmus plans a lot of events. Some events were fraternity parties which one was usually not allowed to attend unless one was a member. During the weekend, its better to go to another city, and Leiden is central to all major cities in the Netherlands. My favorite bar was Odessa's on Monday nights because of the international atmosphere. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
