The University of Twente is a university that offers both technological and social study programmes. The university was founded as a university of technology in 1961 in order to increase the number of academic (university) engineers. It is the only campus university in The Netherlands.

Course recommendations:
I followed the Technology and Management program for international students where all of us were from different countries. Since not all international students spoke a very good English at the begining there was some benevolence from the teachers, but it was very interesting.

"Democracy, Democratic Values and Legitimacy" was an interesting and perfectly structured course. Bevare of Methodology, especially if you're not a guru of SPSS...

Course recommendations:
they offer a list of MSc-courses, which are tought in engish. it was not a problem to get into them, but you should contact a teacher and ask if the courses are offered during your period of stay here, because the internet is not always up-to-date, even though it is pretty good. it is also nice to take some courses in dutch: try it out!!
