Bed and Breakfast and hostels are quite expensive and not very personal, they can also be of bad quality, depending on the area. I would recomend
a homestay or a house share as you're not only meeting people, but you can also improve your language ability.

For Nightlife lovers, templebar in Dublin City is full of different option.
I particulary liked the I.F.C. (International Films Centre). If you're into moovies, with capital m, this place is unmissable.(great food as well)
