Personal spending habits
The cost of living in London is much higher than in the States, BUT, there are always good deals out there for students. Just carry your student card around, be cheeky and ask for student discounts, and pretty soon, you will be familiar with all cinemas that offer student discounts!

Important factors in my choice

Personal recommendation
Very strongly. It is a great campus, not too crowded (the last time I was there), nice library, lots of space, and all major buildings are in the same area. Plus, UCL is close to all the ULU facilities...ie the library, the gym, the store, bars.

TRAVEL. TRAVEL. If you stay at least 6 months as a student in London (this usually means that you have to study abroad for a year), you qualify for a resident-rate Interrail pass which is your ticket to Europe at a more than reasonable price!
Plus, weekend trips are easy to do, to destinations both outside and within the UK! AND, the British school timetable is very conducive to travel options.
