Description:
The University of Aberdeen was founded in 1495 and has for over five hundred years been an integral part of the city of Aberdeen. Its current status as a world leader in education and research are a far cry from its humble origins. The university now offers over 450 first degree courses to its more than 10,600 students. This wide choice of degrees and flexible courses, enables students to mix 'n' match subjects to suit their individual interests and talents. Everybody knows about the Amadeus, a 20-minute busride away from campus, where pints are at 1 pound on Mondays. There are of course plenty of pubs in town, some organising special events, etc. For freezing winternights, go to the campus' pub (forgot the name : "7th hole" or something like that), very nice as well... If dance music is your thing, Liquid has an amazing floor- also the Priory ( this renovated old church). My favourite pubs/meeting places were the Wild Boar and Henry J Beans for the delectable 2 for 1 cocktails:) This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

The U of A student union is really nice and I would recommend going there at least once. The Priory is an experience, especially for Aerican students who ahve never seen a church renovated and turned into a nightclub! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
