Description:
The University of Bristol is a research-based university of international standing. It was founded in 1876 as University College Bristol. It was the first higher educational institution in England to admit women on a basis of equality with men. In 1909 it received a Royal Charter from King Edward VII which enabled it to grant degrees under its own authority. The University is an exempt charity. It organises its academic affairs in some 60 departments and 15 research centres which are arranged in 6 Faculties.

A very good university specialy for technical studies. It offered very good facilities and interesting courses well structured



FINAL COMMENTS

Trying to get a good accomodation is the ky factor to get started. To achieve this is important to arrive early, before the people start arriving. There are good young hostals where you can get accomodation to start looking for.

Personal recommendation:
Its a good university because the teachers are amazing, the courses are great, you can feel you are learning so much, the methodology is different. Bristol university is so important in the law area.



FINAL COMMENTS

My personal advice is: please study english before to go England. if you do this you will learn much more than if you don't know anything. Of course if you speak english it will be easier the first weeks. try to travel as much as you can because you are not going to be abroad all your life, so take advance of this year.

It was very well organized, especially the Italian department. Enjoy It!

It was a beautiful experience, the only problem was the life's cost, even though it was less expensive than in other cities like London for example.

An excellent university, which is higly rated. In there, you can enjoy both a good academic atmosphere and socail life.

In UK, you can find many low-cost airlines operating flights to other EU countries.. cheap!

Bear in mind that you will not get a place in a dorm and that you will have to spend quite a lot of money. Go to the House Search Event as you get in touch with all the international students. Try to live close to university even when you have to pay more, it is worth it.

FINAL COMMENTS

If you want to fly to Bristol, you should take a flight to Heathrow and than go by coach-bus. Its cheaper and less! complicated. You should only know at what station you should leave the coach-bus, but this problem you also have, if you fly to Bristol and than have to get a bus to town. A notebook is very helpful. Working at the computers at the library is a little bit annoying. For email perfect because cheap, but for whole essays not a good choice.
