Was learning English a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my English How much did you improve your English?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
Appendre l'anglais était un de mes objectifs lorsque je suis arrivée en Floride. Je crois que j'ai réussi mais j'ai tout de même du chemin à faire en grammaire. Les cours complémentaire que je prends au Québec en anglais m'aide à perfectionner ce point. J'ai tout de même réussi durant tout mon séjour à m'améliorer et à me faire comprendre par tous, peu importe la situation. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
My home university in Paris provide 50% of courses in English, so I had no problem in understanding teachers. It was more difficult with people my age since I was not at ease with slang at the beginning. After a couple of weeks, I was able to understand easily any kind of situations. Overall, interacting with local students throughout social activities (sports, associations, class projects, friends...) helped me the most in becoming fluent and in leraning the culture. I think socialing with local students is equally important to studying well in class. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

At the beginning, it was a little bit hard, specially during courses because the vocabulary is more specialised and people speack fast and interact eachother. But the oral comprehension improved very quickly and at the end of the semester, i saw a big improvement in the langage. Now, I am fluent in english! I thought my Englsih was perfect, but I got a lot of comments on especially my writing skills. Also the strange accents and the really fast way of talking were a new experience in the beginning. But overall, I didn't experience many problems This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

The only difficulty is to communicate within a group of 5 or more American people because of the "slang" while talking to each others. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
