Why?
All in all the accomodation offered by the University is really good and you feel yourself at home in these flats soon.

Personal comments
Like said above, the accomodation is quite comfortable; the flats are in good locations, they are all equipped with internet, and if you wanted to change, the people responsible for this are helpful. The disadvantage is, that in Helsinki the flats are really expensive.

Should be possible to integrate more within Finnish student life - because of the language a little bit difficult

Travel tips: You have good access to all countries around the Baltic sea; especially try to visit the Baltic states, and (I regret it was not possible for me) Russia. Also the north of Finland, Lappi, is really beautiful, especially in autumn. And don't miss to rent a cottage ("mökki") with your friends in the lake area, with sauna, swimming, incredible nature. It's the best!

If you want to save money - forget to go to Finland. Financial surprises: get a Finnish account and, although you may not speak the language - stand the procedure and all. Just like for all administrative affairs there you need, like the Finnish, a lot of "sisu"

As I spoke Finnish before, I was able to visit also Finnish classes - quite valuable. To get one Finnish speaking his/her language with a foreigner is a little bit complicate, but once you insist, they help you a lot with it and (most of them) have patience doing so ;)
