Personal comments:
When I arrived, my I felt frustrated because of my English, but people learn to be patient with you and make you feeling confortable, and then you speak, even if you make mistakes because you want to communicate with the other ones. With time, you improve your English... Even if after few months, you have the feeling that your level is going down, but after a short while it comes back... I think it is just because the brain needs a break one time!!!

Personal comments:
Obviously, the every-day exposition to another language makes you improve with it and after some time, you, not only think in that language, but also dream in it and therefore you feel comfortable. Nevertheless, the fact that it was an Erasmus program made you be in contact with a considerable number of students of your own country, so you cannot say that it was a complete inmersion. With this I mean that the improoving could have been bigger.

Personal comments:
My English was already very good before I went to Ireland. Sure living still improved my language skills, however I learnt more by interacting with Irish students during my spare time than at the "English as a foreign language"- course offered by UL.

Personal comments:
it was good to get to know some everyday phrases including slang. In addition, Irish english is definetly something which you will not hear very often and which really sometimes has strange ways of pronouncation of words.

I was in a country that spoke my native language so it was not a problem. I ran into a little bit of a problem when I travelled outside Ireland, but nothing too terrible.

English, my first and only language (right now), was the common tongue so I didn't have "a language and communication experience" worth mentioning.
