This city never sleeps, and neither do its inhabitants (well, apart from the morning, when people are recovering from the previous night).

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Meeting people is much easier and there is always someone you can depend on there or someone to go home with at night, having a great time all along. Affordable, favorable location and very social

University of Manchester has various campus locations and as diverse as your wishes may be, there will be something that will suit you. You probably won't spend much time at home anyway ;)

Didn't understand anything for the first two hours in the city, but got used to it very quickly. Locals are helpful and do not make a problem if you don't understand everything for the first time...their accents might get you confused sometimes though ;)

Final comments
If you would like to travel around the country, have a look at Megabus or NationalExpress (both low budget transportation companies), that will get you to many places for a couple of Pounds! Be aware though, that delays are a common thing in England and be prepared for it! If info needed, please contact me with a specific question ;) You'll have a great time!
