Personal comments
Oxford Street has plenty of amazing clubs with the latest house music and the cafes in Sydney are unbeatable. Just walk down oxford street, visit Betsy's Soup Kitchen, Tiny Box (Thai Food), or the Stone Wall for individuals with a truly open mind. Home was a really nice club located on Darling Harbour. There is so much to do. You won't be bored. Also if planning to travel make sure you don't miss Cape Tribulation and the Daintree Rainforest.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I lived with 3 others. One man was Dutch and the other 2 were German. It was a fantastic international experience. We lived 5 minutes from the Bondi Beach and 5 minutes (by bus) from the city center. The house was spacious, with a beautiful back yard and balcony. And it came at a reasonable price!

The housing at the University was diffucult to obtain. When I arrived the housing was already packed, but that was certainly okay with me.

Languages
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't.
Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
My native language is American-English. It was enriching to hear the English language manipulated with the Australian accent and sometimes I really found it difficult to understand. I spoke to many international students while studying and improved my interpersonal communication skills.

Personal comments
Keep the same habits you have at home and the costs should not change too much. You spend the most in the beginning but once you know the place it becomes easier to know where to go and how much things cost.
