Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? The people I met living on campus are part of what made the experience so wonderful!
Personal comments:
I lived on-campus in the Intenational House. It provided a great social and academic atmosphere and gave me the chance to meet a variety of people from different cultures. I could not have asked for a better situation.

Overall
Describe host city: Students interact with the local community without much university involvement
Travel: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment
Activities, Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment
Personal comments:
In Newcastle East, where I lived, the best cafe ws The Bogie Hole, a cute cafe close to the beach with GREAT food. As a college student, the place to be seen at night was The Great Northern. However, we also frequented The Delaney, a wonderful Irish Pub and The Mercury, a techno dance club.

Personal comments:
Studying in Australia was a bit different than The States. Students have to spend more time outside of class preparing. But that was a great lesson for me.
