People are nice and the capital of Iowa is not too far. However, Des Moines is also a kind of little city. Its Art Museum is really really great! You have to visit it and its garden! Read Review

Why? University apartments are great for MBA students who are older and want some more independency.

Those university apartments got internet, phone and TV cable... It was very helpful.

I really enjoyed a bar/pub located downtown which had a free scene for musicians. It was an upstairs place but I can't remember the name... Sorry!

Iowas is a poor state where you can find very good deal if you're looking for it!
Food, Travel, Nightlife: was the same price as at home.
Overall, Telephone, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
The exchange with my French school was including the school fees but the US administration counted first! I couldn't pay two school: one in france and one in USA... They did a mistake!
