Try to travel, it is cheap with other students. I recommend you Florida in Spring Break, New York and New Orleans in Mardi Gras. Don´t stay all time with people from your country. Only speak English, forget your native language during this experience. Try to be envolved in the social life, the university offers you plenty of things to do. Read Review

KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.

Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? An apartment living with american students is the best choice to learn English
Personal comments:
The university offers you the possibility of living in dorms or apartments on campus. The best choice is living in aparments, it is cheaper. The only problem the year I was there was that many students wanted this option and there were not enough apartments for everybody, and we had to share room.

Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment
Personal comments:
The night life and parties take place in the apartments. The best places to go out for me were Deli and The Mont. Best cafe: The Baguette

Fantastic.
Pretty good.
Could've been a bit better.
Disappointing.
Variety of courses
Availability/access to resources
Interaction with teachers
Interaction with other international students
Interaction with local students
Course recommendations:
There are a lot of good courses. Think in what courses you want before arriving because in some courses there are not enough places and you have to choose quickly if you want a place.

My opinion of the university assessment
Exams at end of course

It was alright.
A bit annoying.
Didn't like it.
Exams throughout the course

It is a good university with good teachers and courses of quality. You need to work every week, you will have a lot of homework!!, but don´t worry the exams are not too difficult.

Yes, I wanted to improve my English
How much did you improve your English?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.)

Money from home
Main source of funding:
Personal savings
Other sources of funding:

Personal spending habits:
In general in USA everything is more expensive than in Spain, but Oklahoma is one of the cheapest state in USA. The only thing cheap was the apartment(electricity, air aconditioned, central heating, telephone) arranged for the university.
Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall: was more expensive than at home.
Housing: was the same price as at home.
Telephone: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Take care with the phone calls to your country. It is very expensive, buy pre-paid cards. The medical insurance is expensive, but it is necessary, don´t forget that
