Ottawa is pretty central, so you can travel to Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City and New York easily. If you want to rent a car, get a international driver's licence in your home country (this helps). If you are under 19, don't go to Ottawa, because 19 is the legal drinking age and they are pretty strict on this. Read Review

it's a really good one I think, with lot of thing to do. Try to make friends on your floor if you're in a residence.

take advantage of the first weeks to travel ! and if you go in winter, don't forget, it is really cold ! but really fun !
