Academic
Course recommendations
There are a lot of courses at low/middle level, but a lack of advanced ones.
If you've already studied 3 or 4 years, you could have difficulties to find convenient courses.
Otherwise, everything is ok.

Languages
Language of instruction: Finnish
Was learning Finnish a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't.
How much did you improve your Finnish?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.)
My level after: At ease in most situations
Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
Finnish is an hard language but its knowledge is absolutely necessary if you really want the courses to be useful, because they're almost all in finnish (that's quite normal).
But for foreign students teachers are comprehensive and can prepare exams in others languages if you ask.
Almost all the population can communicate in a foreign language.
