I wish that I would have known that there are plenty of houses available to rent and that it is no problem to find accommodation there.

Choose courses which aren't that much work in order to engage more in social life which is more important to improve your language skills.



FINAL COMMENTS

Travel tips: Isle of Wight by ferry, London by coach (national express, megabus), Bournemouth by coach; Courses: choose at least 2 courses with 100% courses where you don't have a final exam. Accommodation: if you want to live in a nice room, you have to pay 240 Pounds at the minimum.

totaly different admitance to makeing things and learning in general. it's important to be prepare on that,take account of that difference. in my case it didn't fits me pretty well.

try to arrange accomodation with student from host school beforeyour arrival,try to look for thier exchange student who wants to go into your university town and change it with them.

The social life is great!

If you travel a lot you should buy a travel card. Travelling without it is very expensive. Travelling by bus is cheaper than by train but also very slow. If you want to meet local people you should join a society at the university. Thre are many different societies so you will find something interesting for sure!

That the weather was so bad in England ! No, I am joking, I knew it before, but it was sometimes difficult to cope with it, especially because I had to ride my bike 20 min to go to the University from my hall of residence, so when it was raining or snowing, it was a bit difficult to be motivated ...

It is a very big University and it is a real change compared to french Engineering schools or universities. You will have the opportunity to live a real campus, and to be part of lots of activities depending on what you like.

Goog university in most fields, on of the best in UK. Exams are generally pretty easy with a minimum of preparation.



FINAL COMMENTS

Travel tip: with Megabus, you can get a return trip to London in a coach for £2.5! Which means you could go there every week end! Don't miss Stonehenge, the Isle of Wigth, Winchester and New Forest.

Get familiar with the way of assessment. this is very different to the one in my home country

Cornwall is very beautiful, lots of beautiful beaches and spots; Solstice at Stonehenge, opportunity to touch the stones and if you are lucky you can see the sunrise; get in contact with other erasmus people, this is very helpful and it is easier than to get in touch with locals

At this university there are many international students as well as international lecturers. Sometimes it was not easy to understand them because of their accent.

My host country offers many beautiful and interesting towns and places that are worth visiting. But you should consider that the weather is very unsettled. Sometimes it starts raining even though the sky was blue and the sun was shining.

well..if you don't have lots of money, I suggest you not to take train in britain..it's so expensive!!! I went to london by train and the cost of ticket was a bad surprise!
