Description:
The university is located in central Scotland, 30 miles from Glasgow and 40 from Edinburgh. The campus is a 30 acre parkland, a loch at its centre, wooded hills behind. Founded in 1967, it was inspired by the US liberal arts system, introducing semesters to Britain and basing its structure on an interdisciplinary model.

the course is too much based on theories and could have been better if they could include more practical based studies which indeed helps.

well being an international student i could not cope up with their type of studies and essay writting was a bit boring and difficult and really did not understand the implication of writing an essay in practical field.

I took two English lit courses and one history course. I loved the English courses and have a high regard for the English department here. My history class was a little more shady.

In comparison with my courses at my home uni, the courses were pretty intensive. I had to do lots of presentations, essays and groupwork.
