HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: An apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? More opportunity to know more people from various country and learn their culture.
Personal comments:
Living in university housing is absolutely the right choice to get to know more people from various countries. You do get your own privacy and help is always there when you need it .The university accomodation provide cleaning and shuttle bus services in order to ease our studies and ensure our safety at night . STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students interact with the local community without much university involvement
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Time for movies with friends is the very first thing that i don't want to miss out. It then follows by the night club down in George St (Star Bar) and also trip with friends during holiday is a must where so far i've been skiing, NZ, Goldcoast and so on . Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Personal comments:
Studying in Australia gave me more opportunities to learn other languages such as German and French. In Malaysia,we are able to speak multilanguage such as Chinese, Malay , Hokkien,Cantonese, Hock Chew,English and etc.Overall, i find it very advantageous to me cause i'm able to communicate with people who does speak using one of the languages mentioned.By learning other languages it means that i do appreciate other peoples' culture and will ease my communication skills with others. Personal recommendation:
Eventhough this university might not be everyone's choice but however, to me this university does provide a sufficient knowledge to students . There are various courses that you can apply for. This university is well acknowledged by the companies in Australia and Malaysia. Hence, this gives a better opportunity to obtain a job in the appropriate field. FINAL COMMENTS
Any advices needed regarding studies can be obtained from the University . University does organise a trip for students during holiday and it's cheaper as compared to those by agent. To obtain any information , newspaper and internet can be a very useful source.
