Because Britain is generally more expensive than Austria, and as I wanted to make the most out of my time as an exchange student, i spent a lot of money on travelling (which was sefinitely worth it) Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Telephone: was the same price as at home.
Personal comments:
Local supermarkets are generally very expensive in comparison to big inner-city shopping malls. Usually, clothes shops offer discounts for students - watch out for them! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

The student accomodation in the UK is really expensive compared to France- also you can't get "allocation" like in France (APL, ALS); The food on the campus was pricy (for what it was) , probably becuse it's not subsidised. So it is better to buy your own and cook it... Food, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Travel, Nightlife: was the same price as at home.

I mostly shopped at a supermarket called ASDA. They have many unbranded products that are cheaper than I expected. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Food is more expensive in England than in France -but once you learn where to look, you can find cheaper stuff... Food, Travel, Overall: was more expensive than at home. Nightlife, Telephone, Housing: was the same price as at home.
Personal comments:
I think it's good to open an account in england -it takes an effort, but then you can have a cash card and it will save you a lot of money (withdrawing cash from your home country is very expensive) This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

convenient food is cheaper than cooking for yourself but unhealthy on the long run. try to cook in a large group together so you can save money. vegetables and fruits are very expensive not to mention eating out. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
