If returning, I would choose:
Why?
I would live where I did before, most of the students stayed there so we were all close, plus it was in a beautiful wooded setting.

The rooms at the hotel were nice, they were 2 person rooms unless you requested a single. Even though I speak Polish it was useful that the staff at the hotel spoke in English. Washers and dryers, plus a nice kitchen were available to all students at the hotel.

Krakow is full of different dance clubs, cafes, and restaurants. The city center "the rynek" was my favorite part of the city, it was beautiful. It is a central city in Poland so it was easy for us at anytime to travel to other places either by train or bus.

Being at the university greatly improved my Polish. Although it is my native language I feel more comfortable with it after my overseas studies.

Personal spending habits
I think I spent more on phone for obvious reasons, it costs alot of money to call the United States from Poland, plus local calls are also more expensive on average. During the year we would go out 3-4 nights a week so I spent quite a bit on nightlife and we also traveled quite a bit.

Personal comments
There are a lot of opportunities for student discounts, for example with the ISIC card, future students should look into this. Also with your student ID from the Polish university you can get dscounts on local transportation, bus, tram, etc.

All of the international students had their classes together, it would have been nice to be in on some of the other classes with other local students.
