I am not acquainted with all the courses that are given at Växjö University but that University is pretty known all over Sweden and abroad for the business and economic studies. Almost everything if not everything can be studied there with good reputation
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
we, southen european students, dont have the habit to attend few hours of lessons and then study the rest on our own. In Scandinavia, it works just in the opposite way. In one side, that makes the students work harder themselves, but in another side,if the teacher explained a little bit more, students would increase their knowledge in less time This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Loved this one. Nice and easy and prepared me for my next semester at my home University, I came home to find a lot of the work for my final year already covered in my experience at Vaxjo.
My opinion of the university assessment

If English books were more accessible, I should have prepared and brought some with me had I properly known the areas of particular study. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

You'll be working together with other international students and this is a challenge. People from different cultural backgrounds have different approaches to working on a project, but it is a great way of working and gaining experience in working together with students. Your English is going to improve as well. You will not have a lot of hours in classrooms, but the projects take time. You will have plenty of time to travel or go out.

I was in the Swedish Language class and my teacher was absolutly horrid. The books were more like readers which didnt teach us how to speak the language and our teacher didnt know how to communicate with us.

My opinion of the university assessment

Since Växjö I like and get along with group work, writing papers ... but finally the written exams that are based on single books are quite stupid. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Course recommendations:
Being able to take classes with people from all around the world led to many great discussions and there was a great gain in international perspective. Evaluation in the courses generally consisted of a large paper (with oral presentation) and a final, written exam that took a few hours to do. It was really straightforward.

In Vaxjo University they have an advantage that is that you can choose the subjects you want. That means that you can choose one subject from one couse and other from othe course and so on you make your own program. On the other hand the courses that are allready selected by the University are very good as well.

If you arrive already with a knowledge of Swedish, then forget the international programmes and try: Nordiska Spraak, History or even another language as I did like German.

There are not many english courses to choose from because it is not the country´s native language, but the ones existing are pretty good.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
More in-site classes would be better, a bit too much self-study. A higher ratio of Swedish students to international students might be better. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
Since having a HUGE five-hour exam at the end of each course is the Swedish norm, I'm not going suggest an 'improvement'. It is a bit shocking to an American student, however. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

It was very interesting. Love the Swedish acamedic set up - you do one course at a time - anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks - write a 5 hour exam and move to the next course. If you fail you get to write the exam again and again until you pass.
