It is handy to open a Swedish account, but not necessary. It is very useful to bring your own computer or laptop! Because at the end of each module the computer rooms are more then occupied. Take a laptop if you can I would say, you can also quite easily (you have to put some effort in that) arrange an internet connection at home, so that is an extra reason! Then you can also call home for free from your computer! (Depending on what country you are from). In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!

Växjö University is the best organised university I know. There is the great international office and of course VIS: Växjö International Students, this organisation is there specially for the Internationals. They organise trips and parties, as well as the welcome dinner which is free and you can get to know people. They also have a fadder system. This means when you arrive you have a fadder (Swedish or international student who has already been here for a while). They guide you around and help you to find your way around campus and in the studentlife! In the end you receive a yearbook made by your generation International students. This book contains stories and pictures from the whole semester! What a memory! It is fun to be in the yearbook committee and make that yearbook! FINAL COMMENTS
VERY VERY IMPORTANT!! The winter in Sweden is very very cold!! -20! So take very very warm clothes, gloves, hats, sjawls and jackets! I would recommend thermo underwear as well! It helped me out! Go and see Sweden! Look around, places to see are: *Stockholm *Uppsala *Göteborg *Malmö *Lund *Kopenhagen *Halmstad and down following the coast! All of this you can do easily and best by car. Even more because renting a car is the only thing that is quite cheap here in Sweden! It is worth it! Especially in Summer then everything is even more beautiful! The spring semester is best if you ask me. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

This University is really great compared with Italian University, the only thing that is really hard somethimes is get friend with Swedish. FINAL COMMENTS
travel trips Stockholm, Copenhagen, Adventure trip by bike at Evedal, Helsinborg and Elsingor, Oland natural preistoric park, Gotland, Kalmar castle. Advices If you are not an open minded person, easy going and really active it will be difficult to integrate with the other internationnal and much more difficult with Swedish because you have always to start to speak and to be friendly with them. Compared to my country they are much more reserved, but in my experience if you start to speack with them by time they will become really friendly and supportive. It just take more time and you need been patient. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

For the people that will go to study to this University I will say that it is really nice and that the quality of the courses is pretty good. But it is hard also so you must work a lot and you should renounce to some other thing sometimes. And for the university I will tell them that they help a lot the students but they have to bear in mind that the international students don´t have all the facilities so sometimes they should help them a little bit more, specially with the administrative ones. FINAL COMMENTS
This is an unique opportunity to travell specially around the country you are and learn about their culture. And of course also to the rest of countries around it. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal recommendation:
The entire experience was awesome. The only thing I would change is to mix more internationals with regular students so the student experience turns out to be stronger in all aspects. FINAL COMMENTS
It is possible to travel to many countries from Sweden. It is easy to get some days off from school to travel, but keep in mind that the courses are self-study oriented. You will have a great time if you balance all your time between studies, travel, parties and social arrengements. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Hmmm... read carefully the study guide you will receive before going... it sums up all you will need to take care of before departing.. lots of tips and advice too there! Email the international office... they're extra-helpful all the time and they answer really soon. Very organized and well-working country in general! I wish I had done some research on Sweden before I arrived! I knew nothing at all! It wasnt as cold as I expected so all of the big wool sweaters were completely unnecessary! But I learned all I needed to know once I got here. In my opinion:

I would definately recommend it!! I was extremely lucky by getting placed in Växjö. I honestly did no research at all when deciding where to study abroad but it was fate that brought me to Växjö. It was the perfect international environment! FINAL COMMENTS
If you have the chance, I would recommend that you come to Växjö. It is small enough so that you feel a part of it and but large enough so that there is always something to do. The international office is really good about arranging trips and I could say after 6 months that I knew every single international student. It was the best experience of my life! And I am still here in Sweden! :) This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

As mentioned earlier, Växjö Universitet informs you very well on beforehand of what to expect. There is hardly anything to worry about. the University is always willing to help you. They even put very much effort in knowing you personally. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!

Personal recommendation:
If you want to experience a very very very international (350 international students per semester) and kind environment, not afraid of the weather (it's kind of cold sometimes. I suggest to go from jan-jun. Aug-Dec could be a bit depressing because of the darkness in the weather), and fond of meeting new people and willing to have an active and wonderful time, Växjö University is the place for you!! FINAL COMMENTS
The only thing that you might not like, is the time away from your family and that you get a bit homesick. That varies from person to person and will always happen to some extend in an international experience. Please do not let that be a reason for not going. Most of the time, you do not even have the time to think about that. Your agenda will be very full with loads of wonderful international activities. The time I was there, for example, every nationality threw a party in which you'll have lots of fun and learn so much about their culture simultaneously. I was lucky because I had friends from the Vaxjo U. who had come to my home U. the year before. So I was able to talk to them a lot about Sweden and therefor was prepared for it. I guess the main thing to know is that Swedes are a little hard to get to know at first but once you become friends they are the nicest, kindest, helpful friends to have. You just have to give it time. In my opinion:

Please, please, please consider it! I had the BEST time of my life there. Vaxjo University gave me so many of the skills and motivations that I needed to give me a great start in life. FINAL COMMENTS
I know that I've probably repeated this about a million times, but I have to say it again. Vaxjo University gave me a completely new outlook on life. I met some of the greatest friends, had a chance to travel extensively, learn another language and culture, and become an independent person. My greatest advice is to just go, and don't look back. Don't think about home. Think about where you are when you're there. The Swedes will take care of the rest. They'll show you a great time, teach you about their country, and be your friends for life. Whilst their take the opportunity to travel the Balkins and around Sweden itself. I managed to get involved in the rugby club and was privilaged to travel (at their expense most of the time) all around Sweden, mostly because their nearest opposition was over 90km away. Take the opportunity to interact with the locals and always be open to other peoples views, its worth it to expand your own world knowledge and it will be the time of your life if you let it. Life in vaxjo is pretty simple, it is not a big city, so maybe you will not find what you can find in stockolm or malmo.
