try to get a dorm downtown - the vu has a dorm close to the university, but its a pain in the butt to get to clubs. however, there were a lot of parties at the hospitium. Read Review

many of the other students did not get their final accomodation until the third week; until then they had to live at other families

defenitely supported my language skills; learning dutch in amsterdam is almost impossible, since everyone speaks english there and people dont answer you in dutch when you try to ask them in dutch
