Type of housing: Students Residence
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Residence
Why? Because there is where you meet people who are on exchange and you can arrange thousands of plans and parties. Also it´s easy to get an idea of what subjects people are taking which always help to have a friend in the same subjects...
Personal comments:
It was a dorm at the Prater, the suburb is not that good at night but it´s safe and many students live at the same dorm. There many subway and tram stations. The problem was that some "study rooms" were closed and they only opened for the cleaning women coffee. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal assessment
Type of housing: Student residence
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I would no longer be a student, and in student resideces people lead student lives, very different from a worker's lifestyle. The worker needs more a quite household than a student.
Personal comments:
It was a new-built student residence, with all the facilities one can desire, expecially because it was located in a shopping center. Nevertheless it was located in an industrial area, the flat was very dark and the cleaning could have been much better. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Type of housing: A room exchange
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? because I need some space and I do not think that sharing room with a stranger is a good idea for a longer period of time.
Personal comments:
There is no campus on the Vienna university, therefore the student housing is situated all over vienna. That is pitty, since it is more fun to live close to other students. However, the actual housing is good, there are many places to choose between, many of wihch are located near the center of Vienna. Type of housing: room ïn the students dormitory in the city
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? to have own kitchen and possibility to share the appartment with local students
Personal comments:
For people comming from the Eastern Europe, the accomodation is rather expensive, even if it is very good. But if you have friends in the town, they can help you to rent a flat or room un the city which is sometimes even cheaper than dormitory. Why? you get to know more of the other students by living in a dorm insted of private accomodation.

Type of housing: Student accommodation centre (Studentenheim)
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? If I went back to Vienna I would hope to be working there. Therefore I would be able to pay more for rent and get more privacy. Also I now know my way around Vienna and so wouldnt ask the host Uni to help me find accommodation.
Personal comments:
The "Studentenheim" that I lived in was truthfully second to none. My friends and I had no complaints at all throughout the year.Other than that I know that the University itself was very willing to help those students who were finding it difficult to find accommodation. Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Living in the campus integrated myself within a fine multicultural environment, facilitating adaptation to the local culture and interpersonal contacts. I have achieved a lot of friendships this way.
Personal comments:
The summer university program was aimed at international students, which created a great multicultural environment. Professors teaching the courses were international as well, respectively from Australia and Spain, which provided a good insight on international academic standards. Personal comments:
It was really great because I lived in a dorm where many exchange students were staying. If you had to study there was a seperate study room, if you wanted to have fun there was a bar downstairs, TV room etc. The dorm was situated near the railway station and also others traffic connections were really good.
