Why? Because I felt more free. I chose the area and it was Plateau-Mont Royal which is beatiful and I liked very much my apartment. Also, I had a very good relation with my roommate.

you have the option of taking a room in the residence but I didn't like very much the area so I prefered to move.

Living in the dorms is a nice way of meeting people from many parts of the world, including the local population. The only disadvantage is the lack of kitchen facilities.
