The international students could choose a Thai language course where we acquired an everyday knowledge. This was actually pretty helpful in certain situations, as lots of Thais just speak a little English. And with our knowledge at the end, we managed to get along pretty well. That's especially important at the market, as bargaining is much easier in the local language. At university, everyone speaks a rather good English, although some dialects are hard to understand. I had quite a hard time to understand the Indian people. But after a while you'll get used to it. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Because most of the students are from different countries, everything is in English at university. The most dificult is to get used to different accent (Thai, Indian, Chinese...) but it is quite funny. outside the campus, I was amazed to see how many people can speak basic English, or try to understand you through signs for example. It's a campus full with many other nationalities such as Lao, Vietnam, Myanmar, India, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, etc. Students are tend to form a circle of own nationality. But as long as u are willing to break the ice, making friends with others by speaking English is not a problem. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

The language of instruction is in either Uni English. Due to my year abroad as exchange student, my frequent travels to the US and my internship in NY, I did no face any problms with English. In Thailand however most the staff is national, and depending on the department, the level of English varies. Thus you might face some problems here and there. But in general you can make yourself understood. Patience is a bare necessity in the Thai culture. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

The Asian Institute of Technology is, as its name indicates, international. Thus many nationalities from Asia (Thailand, India, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, etc.) were studying and teaching there. It was difficult to understand all the different accents in the beginning, but after one month you hear only English and This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
