Was learning German a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my German How much did you improve your German?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
Before the semester started, I had two months of intense German courses. My grammar was already very good, but I improved it and my vocabulary was greatly approved. I also had a television for the last three months, which helped a lot with vocabulary and slang. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Most younger Germans speak English fluently. If you really want to learn the language don't offer them any windows of opportunity to speak Enlish. Struggle along with German. Otherwise they tend to speak only English with you. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

the overall experience is very good. Although German language is quite difficult language to learn, but student life, a range of social events and venues help a lot. Also teachers and administrative staff are very helpful and pleasant. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

I was able to improve my language skills thanks to my tandem partner. However, the locals rarely ever spoke to foreigners so I wouldn't count on locals for helping to pick up on German. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
