Description:
Situated only few kilometers south of the Arctic Circle, the University of Akureyri has built a reputation for academic excellence and good industrial relations. Located in the capital of north Iceland, Akureyri, the university has been instrumental in the area's research and development. The university was founded in September 1987 with the establishment of faculties in health sciences and industrial management.

Everything is very expensive. But it is possible to get some good deals, if one knows the right shops. Travel, Nightlife, Overall: was more expensive than at home. Food, Housing: was the same price as at home. Telephone: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Go for for the cheap supermarket (Bonus) and shops, keep an eye on the promotions. Buy your drinks before going out (7 euros for a beer in a cafe!). This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
