At the university everyone spoke english and many were even native speakers. communication at the university with the instructors was best done by email, also after I returned to my home country.

Everyone speaks English, but it is nice to really immerse yourself into the local culture and learn a little Dutch. I joined a volleyball club, with all Dutch players, and am learning a lot! I recommend joining any type of club within the University!
