Be prepared in asking advices to people who already went there, just to avoid bad surprises during the first days of your stay, because you will probably get some anyway... but don't worry, everything is going to be OK and this stay will be the best experience of your life !! lot of fun and memories !! In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!

Personal recommendation:
This is a university which allow to get and international BBA, and acknoleged in Europe (equis). But a pity that the international campus is in Mikkeli and not in Helsinki or at least in a bigger city.. FINAL COMMENTS
These stays are a great experience to visit countries and to meet different people. In Finland for exemple, Russia, Estonia, Sweden, Lapland are places easy to go and fantastic. There are people from all over the world to meet and to learn from, Europe of course but from North and South America as well. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

maybe a little bit more of finnish, the greatest thing would have been to be almost fluent to enjoy theater and all te poets who are not translated yet...and of course, to go deeply into the culture of the country and of its inhabitants. In my opinion:
Most people loved it.

Personal recommendation:
i would recommend the Intercultural Management course, which was for e a unique chance to discuss and debate the problems we can encounter while working with people from other coutries, this was all the more interesting that most of the exchange students are there, and the debate is passionating! FINAL COMMENTS
Of course, you should try to enjoy all the travels organized by the students: St Petersburg and Stockholm. But it is really easy to travel around Estonia, Tallin is beautiful ... Going to Lapland remain expensive if you don't rent a cottage for ten... Also, if you come from France, like I do , try to train yourself to respect the queuing system, and try to remember not to cross the street when it is not allowed!! You will be so rude in Finland otherwise!! I'd like to add that I have a lot of respect for the Finnish nation, for the honesty (one of the most amazing thing for me: I forgot my wallet in the compuer lab for a day, and it was still there in the evening!!!) and the respect of the "rules necessary to live togehter"... Last, but not least, i ve neen fascinated with the nature...According to me, there was something between nature and the Finns, that, unfortunately, i won't be able to understand fully one day. I really loved my stay in helsinki because I met great people. Indeed, I met other exchange students and haad fun with them. But I really liked the fact that the student Union of the university really cared bout exchange students: I had 2 tutors who helped me opening a bank account, buying a phone but also went out with the exchange students. The students of the university are very welcoming, that is why you should go there! FINAL COMMENTS
I discovered a culture different from mine and it was a great experience. indeed, I became a sauna addict! I visited a country I didn't know which is very beautiful: I went to Lapland and saw reindeers. I also went to St Petersburg with the university and i visited Stockolm, Copenhaguen, Bergen and Tallin myself. I also spent a week-end with other exchange students in the Lakeland. All these trips were amazing This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Wonderful experience. The teaching at school is great and the student association is even better! Amazingly well organized and events all the time: parties of course, but as well company visits and presentations, sport tournaments, sliding and skiing days, free movies, theater, opera & hockey game tickets at the best prices, cottage week-ends, trips ... Don´t have time to get bored!! Wide range of choices, among all possibilities offered you will for sure find something which will fits you! FINAL COMMENTS
Don´t be afraid about the weather in the winter! It rarely rains, so the cold is "dry" and it feels different. You will survive it without any trouble! Travel: Cruise to Stockholm , Tallinn in Estonia (ferries every day: departure at 8 in the morning and return at 22.), St Pertersburg, and to stay in Finland: Lapland. Half a year is enough to stay in Helsinki/Finland, unless you meet wonderful friends as I did (other exchnage students). Finnish people and culture is very alcohol oriented: every single possibility is used to get drunk. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

I really liked it, becaue it is a small university and therefore it is more a school feeling. Also the courses are more practical orientated than theroetical. FINAL COMMENTS
A trip to Tallinn is a must. It is just 80 km away and it is so different from Helsinki. It takes a time to get used to Helsinki as it is such a modern city, and if you come from an city as Vienna,....I was very disappointed in the beginning, but I loved it in the end. Students should be prepared to work hard throughout the whole semester. There are a lot of cases, essays and project to write, what usually takes a lot of time. Nevertheless, the final exams are very easy. FINAL COMMENTS

This is really a great place if you are a social person. The other exchange students were like family here, you really depend on each other. It is a very small city, and a small school, so you will be seeing the same people every day! I enjoyed this aspect, as I developed very good friendships with a number of people, where in a larger school i might meet more people but not know these people as well. FINAL COMMENTS
Travelling from Finland is not so convenient. There are not so many low cost airlines. However there are interesting places which the average tourist would not see such as Russia, Estonia, Latvia, and Lapaland. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

You have to know that in Finland rules are rules, if you are able to understand that fact, everything is going to go great. FINAL COMMENTS
You should travel to Talin (Estonia), Stockolm and San Petesburg. Finland is a good place to travel arround as well. There are many ways to reach your travel aims, train, bus, Ferry, but you shouldn't forget your student card and you should try to get the Finnish student car as well to get discounts. HSE is a very good business school, has a high international reputation, and offers a lot to its students. The student organization, KY, is excellent and organizes many social events. Each exchange student gets two tutors, who take care of you and help you throughout your stay. HSE is a very good school and I would chose it again if I could. FINAL COMMENTS
Do as much as you can and participate in all KY events and trips! From Helsinki you can easily go to Tallinn, Sweden, or St. Petersburg. Finland itself is a very beautiful and interesting country with friendly people and many cultural habits! Take your chance and enjoy a very bright and hot summer and a very dark and cold winter.
