The best cafe is the Elephant House on George IV Bridge and the best cinema is the Filmhouse on Lothian Road. With regard to nightlife, I quite like the downstairs of the Negociants on Potterrow. The Edinburgh International Festival in August must not be missed!!

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?

The university campus is about 6 miles from the centre of Edinburgh, so living on campus one misses out on a lot of the action.
