If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Living on campus was relatively expensive compared with the quality of the rooms and the whole building. Also we had problems with the housing contract termination.
Personal comments:
Overall, it was nice to live on campus, but the building was very old and dirty. The appartments were small with only the minimum furniture. Also most of the housing contracts did not cover the whole semester, so at the end of it we needed to look for some place to live for a couple of days in order to finish our exams.

Why? Cheapest option for a student and its close to the school. You meet a lot of international students there, which helps you to improve language skills and other international communication skills. Very interesting to live in a same building with 200 other international students from all over the world.
Personal comments:
Housing works ok, only getting the deposit back takes a long time. Could be few more options where to live intead of the three what Hogeschool INHolland offers.

If returning, I would choose: Student accommodation
Why? Because you can easily meet the people that are going to become your classmates and friends, and you learn how to live in a cultural diverse background.
Personal comments:
the accommodation was worst than I expected since we were paying quite a tlot of money and the cleaning was not really well organized and we did not have services as internet. Although the people I meet there have become really good friends of mine.

Why? To meet all other (international) students and be active part of the student life there
Personal comments:
It was nice to have the whole house for the exhange students. The house was pretty ok but the rent was too high. I also would have like to have also Dutch students living in the same place. The distance to the center was long but train connections were pretty good.

Why? Enough space, indepence, experience of having an own apartment in a foreign country
Personal comments:
The apartment was huge and we had everything we needed. It was pretty close to our university but rather far from the city of amsterdam. The place was also somehow scary...anyways, local authorities decided to remove those apartment houses and replace them.

Why? By getting apartment for rent, it would be esier to decide take it or not. By living on campus you are awarded with a room that you are not allowed to change. Otherwise, campus is not a bad choice.
Personal comments:
Schools campus can and should be improved, especially cleanliness part. Price should be lower.

Why? I would live in downtown Adam, that way I would be able to walk home wasted instead of the annoying Dutch cabbies who like to tour the city before taking you home.
Personal comments:
Housing was whack, someone actually took a fat SH*T in the lobby. The house keeper in the kiesel was a nut job, he didn't know what the hell was going on. He's the type of guy you would find on the night bus around 4am.

Why? I would choose to live in an apartment that I find myself because the dorm was not very safe or clean place to live.
Personal comments:
When there are many different nationalities and most of the people have never lived away from their parents before this experience it is understandable that there are problems but the security of the accomodation could be better.

It's cheaper compare to the rooms around Amsterdam but just too far away. I was living in Lelystad, took me nearly 1 hour by train to school every day and that cost me a lot!!

Very dirty, in a dangerous area although quite spacious and close to uni. Had insect problems and wasn't well maintained. Very difficult to organise through them.

Why? I felt that living in a building o campus with other international students facilitated the ease of meeting people from other countries
Personal comments:
Living at the Kiezel(the dormatory on campus) was one of the best times I have ever had in college. Since no one really knew eachother everyone went out of there way to introduce themselves. It turns out to be your own little community.
