HOUSING
by Taina, Jyväskylän Yliopisto, Jyvaskyla, Finland
Political Science, Erasmus
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? The location is great, the rent is cheap and it's the best way to get to know people!
Personal comments:
Even though the residences aren't the cleanest or most comfortable places on earth, they're a good option for the erasmus. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
by Hugott, Ludwig Maximilians Universität München, Munich, Germany
Political Science, Erasmus
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Activities: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Nightlife, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
there is no Dico-dulture here in Toulouse like in Germany! Most is in bars and some nightclubs. Best places: cafe populaire, l´ambassade, la maison, la soule (pour la champions league!) This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

ACADEMIC

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
the system here is for me strange because there are hardly courses of discussions! And the habbite is to beleave the prof and not confirm things with original texts. Very school-like!
My opinion of the university assessment

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: French
Was learning French a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my French How much did you improve your French?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
You can only learn french by being in France! To be able to follow the courses you'll have to have pretty good skills from the beginning, but your skills will develop outside the school as well. Speak french also with the other erasmus!! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
The best thing to do is to come for both semesters. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
IEP Toulouse is a good school with profs who know what their doing. It's really higly appreciated in France and quite small so it's easy to get to know people. FINAL COMMENTS
I can't think of a better place to spend your erasmus. To make things even greater, try to find french student who have done their erasmus in your home country. They'll be glad to help you and you'll make great new freinds! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
