If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I like the experience of flat-sharing and think it´s very enriching and useful to meet natives and learn the language of the country. It also allows you to have more independence and freedom, because you have to organize yourself and cook, clean, etc, as opposed to living with a family or in a hall of residence.
Personal comments:
Overall I´m happy with the accommodation I got. But I wasn´t very lucky with my flatmates, because although they were German, I didn´t get the chance to practice my German that much because we barely had contact to each other.

Why? At the beginning i tried it out in a single room with a little kitchen in a kind of Social protected and Student Neighbourhood...really depressing and more expensive than the Campues place...so the second semester (I was there for 2) I went to live to the Campues area and things improved:more people, more friends, much nicer ambience.
Personal comments:
It was not bad really. The main problem of the Erasmus scholarship is the money we get:absurd! So the monthly rent for the room at the Campues which was,in fact, 200 sthg euros, turn to be too much for any of us in a way.But you already know about this money "problem" when you sign down for an Erasmus!

the most important advantage- multicultural atmosphere, people from all the countries in the world, a great possibility of exchanging cultures and traditions, which is needed for translators.
