Was learning German a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my German How much did you improve your German?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
The language experience in Linz was fairly because I was Irish alot of the erasmus spoke english to be so it was hard to practice my language but as the year went on I became more confident and I spoke more of the language and I wasn't scared to speak it to the local students as well. Be warned that the Austrian dialekt is very different to the "hoch" Deutsch that we all learn in college. It will take a while to get used to the local dialekt but Austrians will always make a genuine effort to speak clearly to you so that you will understand. Before I came to Austria I had a little bit fear that I will not understand many things, but this fear disappeared after the first moments in my host country. A certain problem is slang. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

I was surprised how fast you learn a language and become confident by speaking and hearing a language all the time. The only thing I've had problems with is the Austrian dialect. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
