Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Because it allows you to meet new people from different countries. Only that makes the day by day contact very interesting, learning always different ways of life and helping to open your mind

Personal comments
Everything was fine, except for the price of the rooms. It was hard to afford money to cover the living expenses in Wageningen, and I consider the housing costs the main expenses. In Valencia housing was much cheaper.

Languages
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't.
How much did you improve your English?
My level before: Basic phrases
My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang)
Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
It was hard at the beginning (0ne month), since I had no fluent english, and no idea of Dutch (dutch students always spoke it between them, then it was difficult the social life). After that time I met more international students (US, Canada) I started a friendship with. So I learnt a lot and after more than one and a half year I could speak fluently with everybody. Therefore my overall language and communication experience has been very positive, since I hope the adquired language use skills adcquired in Wageningen will give me an advantage in getting a job, either in Spain or in other european country.

An ERASMUS grant
Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options
Personal spending habits
I spent less in telephone because there was no need to use it (we could communicate with the excellent network services (internet)
I spent more in housing because there wasn´t another option, in spain it is much cheaper.
I spent more in travel because i did not want to miss the chance to visit cities and countries nearby, that otherwise are so far away from Spain

In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
I´d advise everybody to go,
The social life is great, but be prepared, the academic life is hard. You will not have any special treatment only because you are not from there. In Wageningen more than half of the students are international. To study there requires high dedication and motivation.

During my experience abroad, I ...
(1) Never – (4) A lot
Became familiar with another culture
Met people from other countries
Experienced a change in life
Advanced my studies & career
Final comments
I´d add that is advisable to have a basic knowledge of english when you go there planning to improve it. If so you will learn much faster and will face less difficult situations

Academic
Course recommendations
Most of them were very good, much better than in my home university. Especially the interaction teacher-students and the quality of the lessons given were much better than in my home university.
I´d recommend for next courses to give a better insight about how you could you use what you are learning in them in finding a job, i.e. how to use that knowlelde in real life (outside university)

Interaction with local students
Personal comments
The libraries should keep open more hours, you should be able to study in them if you choose so, instead of studying in the room. It would be an extra choice for students
