Housing
Type of housing: A room exchange
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: A room exchange
Why?
I live in a house with 30 more ERASMUS students and we are a family together. I would never exchange this for a better accomodation.

Personal comments
I find it a very smooth process, since the host University has arranged all the necessary paperworks, all done very professionally. The accomodation itself was quite good, although a little bit more space would hurt...

Personal comments
The night life in Hasselt or Diepenbiek is not very busy, if you want the party, you have to do it by yourself, meaning 30 ERASMUS students in one bar, for instance. I would advise not to miss the Carnival in Maastricht or the Genever Festival in Hasselt.

Final comments
This is a very nice place to be, very quiet, but you still can get lots of fun. The international environment is great, so if you come, let the University take care of your own accomodation. Don't forget to task the beers, in special Hoegarden!

Personal comments
Most of the people spoke English which was very good. Only older people didn't but I could interact with them in Dutch or they would try everything to make understandable. Also the University provided Dutch courses not compulsory for everyone interested in.

Personal comments
Buy your food in Aldi supermarkets and you can get it for half of the price. It is unbranded food, but still good.
