HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Corridor; own room, share kitchen and lounge..
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Corridor
Why? Most viable choise and allows for great socialisation with other exchange students and Swedes.
Personal comments:
The accomodation is great. You get your own rather large room with bathroom; shower, toilet and sink. Share lounge room and kitchen with six other non-exchange students (usually). This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Activities, Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
The beloved Herrgår'n (HG) will remain number one according to most exchange students. Located right in the middle of the student accomodation its hard to beat on Friday or Saturday night with Naoki on the dance floor! Try Tuesday evenings for international student night. The other student ran club is Natiernas Hus (Nations House, NH -sorry I spelt it wrong in Swedish). This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
English or Swedish its your choice. Only a limited number of courses available in English, get the list from the University web site (www.liu.se). If you want to study the whole time you can, if you want to party the whole time thats your choice too. I recommed to get to know as many people as you can, if that means drinking a large quantity of Åbro (beer) well who'd be complaining! Back regarding courses, you get to take your exams again if you fail the first time. Not the case at my Uni! (not that i've ever failed!)
My opinion of the university assessment

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Personal comments:
Swedes speak great English so you can get away without speaking a word of English. However, I suggest you study the languange as much as possible, especially if your like me and only speak English fluently :o( This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Personal savings Other sources of funding:
Family Personal savings $2000 AUD scholarship Work opportunities:
I didn't want/need to work Personal spending habits:
Offcourse you always spend more whilst away from home! However I guess Sweden is a little more expensive than most countries but its all part of living the student life in Sweden! Alcohol is the hard one, costing quite a bit more. Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Telephone: was the same price as at home.
Personal comments:
Brew your own beer and only drink spirits on special occasions! Also, make sure to try Swedish punch (spirit like). This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
