Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? London is one of the most beautiful cities I have been to. I would chose an apartment or house because it would allow me the opportunity to really live inside the British culture. Life on campus keeps you slightly sheltered
Personal comments:
The accommdations where rather good actually. I was given my own room which had plenty of space. Also in my building there were only about 30 people which really made it easier for us to establish deeper friendships. The facilities were also quite accommodating. Though, the location was a little risky after sundown. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal social experience
Describe host city:
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Personal comments:
Old Street (Hoxton) is pretty good for laid-back pubs and bars, I also liked Covent Garden (bit touristy though) and Camden (<= if the hippie-thing is up your alley) This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my English How much did you improve your English?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
At the beggining it was difficult to understand people speaking in English, but later, you start getting used. You can improve a lot your language skills because everyone there, even international students, communicate in english. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
I wish I knew how hard it was to meet people in London. In my opinion:
I loved it but I'm not sure everybody would.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
It is a nice school and I was there for the summer only. So it may be better during the academic year. The class rooms are not as fancy as the ones in the USA. I don't know if everyone would like it. FINAL COMMENTS
I would say just be open to everything. there are some really wonderful lecturers and tutors. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
