London is one of the most beautiful cities I have been to. I would chose an apartment or house because it would allow me the opportunity to really live inside the British culture. Life on campus keeps you slightly sheltered

The accommdations where rather good actually. I was given my own room which had plenty of space. Also in my building there were only about 30 people which really made it easier for us to establish deeper friendships. The facilities were also quite accommodating. Though, the location was a little risky after sundown.

That the medical system in Great Britain is very bad; there are no specialists around in practices like in Germany; it was a real problem when I fell sick
Housing in London is a huge problem; the accomodation is bad and very expensive. Nobody at the university helped me when I was asking for support.

If you want to go a place where you actually LEARN something; if you want to study hard go there. If you want to party, go somewhere else.

London is always the best choice. It is the best place where to be as a student. But you will need cash; otherwise you cannot survive there.

I would have liked to be closer to Central London, so an apartment would probably be the best choice.

The University was very old and historic. The campus was very beautiful but the dorms could have been better. I think coming from the U.S. we expect "state of the art" accommodations, and when we have to stay in a place other than that we get discoraged. Overall, the university was very accommodating to the exchange students.
The amount of money necessary for living expenses.

They are currently amongst the top 20 Universities in the UK. Its a good choice if you are unsure about what subject you want to do because they offer various joint subjects.

Public transport in London I must say was terrible! You never know when there will be a strike or what might happen during your course of travel. The prices for transportation changes every year.
I wish I had researched the location of my host university better. I thought it would be located in the city of London itself, only to be surprised to find it located around 30 minutes away by tube.

It is an alright school, but make sure you try getting into others closer to London before you settle on Middlesex.

All those activities are there such as the night life and the oppurtunities to travel. It all depends on the individual on how much of their time that they can afford to spend on those activities.Middlesex University is a good place to study if you know how to utilise what you are given.
